Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-07-08

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of Busymate DevTools — the iOS app, the web dashboard, the command-line tools, the REST and realtime APIs, and the MCP (Model Context Protocol) server (together, the “Service”), operated by Busymate (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Busymate DevTools is a network-debugging platform. It captures, inspects, and helps you debug the HTTP and HTTPS traffic of devices and apps you own or are authorized to test — across iOS, Android, browsers, and your own backends — in a private, account-scoped dashboard, with an optional AI assistant (BusyBro) and programmatic access over an API and an MCP server. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

2. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent where you live) and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. Notify us promptly at support@busymate.net if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. Acceptable use & your responsibilities

The Service decrypts and records network traffic. You may only inspect traffic on devices, apps, and services that you own or have explicit authorization to monitor. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have that right. You agree not to:

  • intercept, decrypt, or capture traffic belonging to any person or organization without their authorization, or in violation of any applicable law (including wiretap, privacy, and computer-misuse laws);
  • use the Service to access systems you are not authorized to access, to attack or overload any system, or to circumvent security controls;
  • reverse-engineer, resell, or provide the Service to third parties except as the Service's features expressly allow;
  • upload or process unlawful content, malware, or other people's personal data without a lawful basis; or
  • abuse the platform's automated interfaces (excessive request volume, scraping outside documented limits, or attempts to exceed your role's permissions).

You are responsible for the data you capture and for complying with the laws and third-party terms that apply to it.

4. API & MCP (automated access)

The Service can be driven programmatically over a REST API, a realtime WebSocket, and an MCP server, including by AI agents you connect (for example Claude, Cursor, VS Code, or ChatGPT). Access is authenticated with OAuth 2.1 and is scoped to your own account and your role's permissions — an agent or script acting on your behalf can only do what you could do yourself, and destructive actions require an explicit confirmation.

You are responsible for any client or agent you authorize and for everything it does with your token, including how it handles the responses it receives. You must keep tokens confidential and may revoke a connection at any time from your account. We may rate-limit, suspend, or revoke automated access that threatens the stability or security of the Service.

5. Your content & data

You retain all rights to the traffic, captures, configurations, and other data you submit to the Service (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service for you. How we handle Your Content is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and trademarks, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service. Open-source components are licensed under their own terms. We welcome feedback and may use it without obligation to you.

7. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party sub-processors and platforms to function — for example Supabase (managed database, authentication, and realtime), Anthropic (the Claude models behind BusyBro), Apple (Sign in with Apple, App Store, and push notifications), and payment processors for any paid plans. Your use of those features is also subject to those providers' terms. The named data sub-processors and what they receive are described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Fees

Some features may be offered free of charge and others as paid or metered plans. If you purchase a paid plan, the price, billing cycle, and any usage-based charges will be disclosed at the time of purchase, and you authorize us (and our payment processor) to charge your chosen payment method. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable. We may change pricing on a prospective basis with reasonable notice.

9. Beta features

We may label features as beta, preview, or experimental. Those features are provided “as is”, may change or be withdrawn at any time, and may be less reliable than generally available features. Do not rely on them for production-critical work.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that captured data will be complete or accurate.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, Your Content, or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right — including any unauthorized interception or capture of traffic.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time (see our Privacy Policy for how to delete your data). We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, create risk or legal exposure for us, or use the Service unlawfully. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will survive.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at our principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts there, except where mandatory local consumer law gives you other rights.
